We cannot guarantee the app will function below Android 12. Definitely not on 10. Can you upgrade the phone to 12? It may work on some, and not others.

i am not sure if it works on my huawei p40lite or fiso r2022, why nothing says me this before i buy it? and is there no other way than buying a new phone for couple hundred $ just to adjust my shifter?

It's unfortunately impossible for us to test on every model of phone. In particular, the Chinese phones may cause problems. They usually modify the core Android operating system to their own requirements. Sometimes they are heavily modified. If you are using a mainstream brand phone, it's unlikely the phone is the issue. You will however need to keep Android updated to the latest release. This is not something we can control. Android constantly updates the OS and along with that, how the Bluetooth functions. If you upgrade to Android 12, please note that you need to enable the location permission for the NXS App. This is something new that they just added.

@paul so i can't use it because my phone is to ,,old,, ? i asked around my friends, all of them have android 11, 12 is not a big deal here, because like anything is also comp. with android 11,10... for the phones is no upgrade to 12 officaly listed

So far we haven't found any phones it won't work. It should work on 11, but we can't guarantee since we do most testing on 12. There really is nothing we can do about it. When Android updates the Bluetooth stack, we need to comply. And we can't publish an app that isn't compliant with latest Android version. I guess they want to force everyone to upgrade phones.

@paul it did not work on any phones so far (2 of me, 3 friends one with android12) so i guess i send it back and will be stuck with normal shifting so far. sry about that and thank you very much for the help, even if it did not work at the end

I think you are doing something wrong then. So far you are the only person that cannot run the app on their phone, and you have 5? Not likely. And as I said, we do not actively test on 11, since that is not the current Android version. You need to keep the phone OS up to date for Bluetooth devices to work correctly.

@paul I don't know if I can do it right if there es absolutely no kind of tutorial or whatever.
I already did it like you sayed in the support treath, which not got any more answers so far.
I only one 2 Phones, 3 are friends active phones. If you don't belive me I can send you a pic with all of the different phones I tryed (with a note on top of course)
Sry about that, like I sayed the wireless shifting is over for me for the next time, I guess I will lock back into it later if more updates on the app are out.
A App that cannot run on a 3 Year old phone?
Come on, nothing like this happens to me before 😉.

A screen recording of what is happening would be helpful. You say it is "crashing", but there is something causing that. Its impossible for us to help solve the problem with such limited information. As for 3 year old phones, its not the age of the phone, its the OS version. As I said, this is something very much out of our control. We must make our app compatible with the latest version of OS. Sometimes changes in the OS will make it incompatible with previous versions. The only way we could support older OS is to have multiple versions of the APP. I'm sure other people with similar apps have exactly same issue.

@paul like I sayed, I already attached multiple screen records in the support ticket, but don't get any answers so far....

Sorry about that. This forum and help tickets not linked.

I saw the video. What is happening makes no sense.

Try this:

Hold the reset button for 3 seconds until the led flashes. This will reset the flash memory

Home the device with the button, not the app. You should see the green light flash

No go back into the app and try the setup again.

Its the same issue with Tune and Setup screen?

Can you use the shift buttons on the Tune screen?

Just to verify, you can hear the motor properly home? You should here it move 3 times to the home position. This is to verify accuracy. Then at the end it will move about 1mm to the gear #1 position.

And in the help ticket, you mentioned a connector is broken. What connector is broken?

@brunom4
Statistically speaking, its extremely unlikely for a user to have the only 3 phones that don't work with the app. Unless you are using Chinese phones with the modified OS of course. Then we can't really do anything about it. So I think its another issue. Not sure what this is yet.

When will the iPhone app be available?

I opened a different thread since I did not see this was open. I'm experiencing the exact same issue and I'm desperate trying to solve with different phones. Here my experience:

I connected to the system (Quantum and BlakBullet) through the app. Managed to map buttons for shifting up and down and also managed to update firmware on both systems (Quantum and BlakBullet).

I can move the system with the buttons but the positions stored in the Quantum are inadequate for my derailleur. Therefore I'm trying to tune/adjust the individual cog positions. However, whenever I try tuning the cog positions the app crashes.

In section "Tune" I can move the Quantum pushing the arrows at the sides of the gear number. However, when willing to adjust the position  of a particular cog by pushing on jog buttons ("+" or "-") the app crashes and closes completely.

The same happens in section "Manual Setup". After selecting the number of cogs to be adjusted and clicking on "Next", whenever I push the jog buttons ("+" or "-") the app crashes and closes completely.

I tried this with 3 different phones: Google Pixel 4a with Android 13, Oppo A74 with Android 12 and Moto G10 with Android 11.

The issue is exactly the same in all cases. Could you please advise how to solve this?

I saw the recommendation of using Android 12 or above: as you can see I used Android 12 and even Android 13 with a Google Pixel, which is a relatively close to "stock" Android smartphone so the heavily modified Android version explanation does not seem to apply
